Steak Supper

Calling all steak lovers and lovers of steak lovers – this steak supper is a four course affair with a choice of gorgeous locally sourced dry aged or fillet steak (oh what a choice!). Accompanying image is for comedy purposes only and in no way represents the steak we serve – She’s holding the meat map of Britain upside down for a start!



Sample Menu


trio of tapenades

 black olive and Parmesan. sun-blush tomato and chilli pesto. broad bean and pea

Salad Starter

 Aveyron salad

Smoked lardons, Armagnac flamed walnuts, crumbled Roquefort, Gaillac red wine poached pear, leaves & house dressing


Confit of duck

Slow cooked duck with mooli, carrot, sesame, pear poached in red wine, leaves and a tamarind dressing



Aged Sirloin with smoked garlic butter or chimichurri

32 day, dry-aged, local sirloin with choice of sauces. triple fried chips, a tomato, feta and black olive salad


Medallions of beef fillet

with a brandy and green peppercorn sauce. dauphinoise and seared asparagus and roasted vine ripened tomatoes


Dessert or Cheese

Chocolate heaven

hot double baked chocolate and nut brownie. Served with a mound of our favourite Hope Valley clotted cream ice cream


Sorbet and drunken Fruit

Raspberry and lemon sorbet with oranges, plums and berries marinated in rose port


Favourite Cheese

Your choice of three cheeses

 from our house cheese selection.  Served with biscuits, sea-salted butter and relish
