French Summer Bistro (FULLY BOOKED)

Oooh la la. A lovely French Spring Bistro evening with drinks in the garden to begin (as long as the evening sun is shining).  We’re actively encouraging you to release your inner Francophile, sip your aperitif, looking très chic on our terrace before dinner begins.   Our French weekends are always popular so get booking before ‘les carottes sont cuties’ as the French would say!




Wild mushroom soup

Ceps and forest mushrooms with marsala wine, crème fraiche and shallots served with a our own smoked garlic baguette


 Duck and Pear Salad

Duck confit with leaves,  wine poached pears, herb croutons and a sticky tamarind dressing


Bistro Mains

Steak Au Poirve

Tender strip of local, 28 day dry-aged  sirloin served with a rich brandy, cream and peppercorn sauce


Tuna Niçoise

Ripe vine tomatoes, French beans, Charlotte potatoes, black olives and a french vinaigrette topped with our own seared tuna steak


Asparagus and Roquefort Tart

All butter pastry filled with caramelised onion, griddled asparagus and crumbled Roquefort cheese. Served with green bean & roasted pepper salad

Parisian Waffle

Our own freshly cooked Liege Waffle with rosé soaked raspberries, Chantilly cream and toasted almonds


Pot au Chocolate

An intense dark chocolate cream dessert with a small hint of aged Armagnac


Coupe Le colonel

Sharp lemon sorbet with a shot of frozen French Grey Goose ‘Le Citron’ vodka
